Flowers & Stripes
I've been making baby hats this past week to sell at my etsy shop. I love stripes! I made a few hats with stripes of different widths. The navy blue and white one below is double knit. I will be making more of those with different color combinations for baby/toddler boys and the ones with the thinner stripes will be for the girlies, of course, embellished with a big, bright and colorful flower.
My favorite color combo: navy blue and white and bright pink :)
I will also be selling fitted baby hats in solid color with a floral/bow embellishment.

New Shop Items
I added a few more items to my etsy shop: Headband/ear-warmer embellished with a big crocheted flower ($21.50 USD) and ones with a big heart accent ($21USD). I also lowered my prices on my Big Bow Headband/Ear-warmers from $24USD to $22USD. All my items are customizable :)

A Chunky Slightly Slouchy Newsboy Hat for Me!
I guess the post title says it all... Made this hat with Lion Brand Hometown USA yarn in Dallas Gray and a 9mm crochet hook.
Knit/Crochet Along Cowl Scarf... Done!
This is the finished cowl scarf I crocheted for luvinthemommyhood.com's Carefree Cowl Knit Along. I love this scarf. I made it short enough so when I loop it twice around my neck, it hugs it perfectly, not too tight, not too loose. Check out this and other cowl scarves on this knit along flickr page.

The Carefree Cowl Knit Along! I'm in!
I am so in! Luvinthemommyhood.com and Nook started a knit along for cowl scarves. I saw the post 2 days ago and I started on my scarf right away. I've been planning to make a cowl scarf for moi anyways, so this knit along is a good motivational push to start it. I crocheted my cowl using tunisian crochet. I started with doing honeycomb stitch, a stitch that I use for my earwarmers that I sell on my etsy shop. Love this stitch, but I wanted to try something different. I ended up doing the whole cowl in tunisian arrowhead stitch.

For this project, I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in Plum Perfect and an 8mm tunisian hook. I love tunisian crochet! This was a pretty easy project and was so much fun to do. I simply crocheted a long scarf and sewed the edges together. I will post pictures of the finished cowl on my next post and on luvinthemommyhood ravelry group thread and their flickr group.
